Patient Care Coordinator
With a background in Health Sciences and Business Studies from The University of Iowa, Lexie’s career has always been centered around movement and medicine. As a former University of Iowa Dance Team member and a 4-year intern with The Hawkeye Wrestling Club, she developed a deep appreciation for injury prevention and rehabilitation. At the Patel Center for Functional Regeneration, she merges her expertise with patient-centered care, ensuring a seamless experience for every individual who walks through our doors. Her passion for regenerative medicine has also evolved into a partnership with Dr. Patel for The Center for Functional Wellness.
When she’s not assisting patients, Lexie is coaching and training as a NASM-certified personal trainer, Weight Loss Specialist, and Nutrition Coach. She thrives in high-energy environments, whether she’s leading a class or soaking up the sun at the beach!
Rahad earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine, where she focused her research on sleep, learning and memory, and memory reconsolidation. Post-graduation, her passion for orthopedics and sports medicine grew while shadowing a specialist, and under Dr. Patel’s mentorship, she continues to refine her skills in patient care, procedural assistance, and medical documentation. She is dedicated to expanding her knowledge, developing crucial skills that she will use through PA school and into her career as a PA.
Outside the clinic, Rahad is an avid coffee enthusiast, always on the hunt for the best new café. She enjoys reading, spending time with loved ones, and unwinding with a good movie.
